Can you do micro-infusion at home?

Yes. At-home micro-infusion uses a stamp-style device with short, fixed-depth needles to create temporary micro-channels while delivering a serum into the upper skin layers. How long after Botox or filler can you micro-infuse?

A common guideline is to wait about two weeks after Botox or dermal filler before micro-infusion, and at least two weeks after a session before your next injectables, so the skin barrier can re-establish and filler can settle. Always defer to the practitioner who performed the injection, who may advise a longer wait based on your specific treatment.

Can you use retinol or vitamin C after micro-infusion?

Pause retinoids, AHAs, and BHAs for about 48 hours before a session and resume around 72 hours after. Vitamin C can be paused 24 hours before and resumed about 48 hours after, since a low pH can sting freshly treated skin. Hyaluronic acid needs no pause and is a safe companion. For the first 24 to 72 hours, keep your routine gentle, fragrance-free, and hydrating, and apply broad-spectrum SPF every morning.

Is bioengineered PDRN the same as a salmon sperm facial?

PDRN, or polydeoxyribonucleotide, is the regenerative molecule behind the so-called salmon sperm facial, and most PDRN on the market is salmon-derived. The PDRN in EvenSkyn's Syntha-Pep serum is bioengineered through controlled fermentation rather than extracted from salmon, so the PDRN itself contains no salmon-derived material. Note that the serum also contains a small amount of marine-derived hydrolyzed collagen, so anyone with a fish or shellfish allergy should consult a physician and patch test before first use.

How often should you micro-infuse at home?

The standard rhythm is one session every two weeks, ideally in the evening so skin recovers overnight. After the first four to six well-tolerated sessions, some users shorten the interval to once every ten days, but more frequent stamping at a fixed 0.5 mm depth does not improve results and can stress the barrier. Consistency over four to six months is what supports the look of firmer skin.
