Is the blue light in the Mirage safe?
Much research evidence exists that suggests that blue light at certain wavelengths (wavelengths that are outside of what the Mirage uses), if directed at the eyes, can over time cause some damage. Since the eyes are excluded from treatment using LEDs in the mirage, beyond the wavelengths being different between that which the blue LEDs of the mirage produce and those that our everyday devices with screens produce (such as our phones, computer monitors and TVs), the fact that there is complete avoidance of it toward the eyes, it ought not to have the identified harm to the eyes. As for collagen being degraded, blue light is low-penetrating, meaning most of it is limited to the top layer of the skin and does not make it to the dermis or the hypodermis where collagen fibres exist.
However, as mentioned, if there is a concern around hyperpigmentation, and while there is no evidence to suggest that blue light would cause or exacerbate the production of melanin, since the melanin producing melanocytes are present in the top epidermal layer, avoiding use of the blue light mode altogether and using only the red and yellow light modes of the Mirage mask may be the advisable route to take as a the more safe approach (where concerns of hyperpigmentation are elevated).
Can the Mirage cause hyperpigmentation for those who are prone to it?
In fact, quite the opposite. The yellow light mode especially has been shown to reduce hyperpigmentation as opposed to exacerbate it. Also, use in neither of the other two color modes of the Mirage, mainly the blue and the red light mode, has increased hyperpigmentation ever been a concern.
Can the Mirage be used daily?
The Mirage is considered to be non-invasive, to begin with. As opposed to RF that is used in the Lumo, which is minimally invasive. The non-invasive nature of the Mirage face mask makes it good for daily use, indeed. However, in most cases, we do recommend that customers limit usage to around 5 days typically so that if any healing is required beyond the normal healing that happens between daily uses, that it can happen.
However, there is no established harm in using it daily from our research standpoint that we've conducted. It is only out of caution and for extra healing and rejuvenation in which we advise customers to sometimes give your skin a break. Ultimately, it can be used, if desired, on a daily basis.
Can any products be used on the face while using the Mirage?
For best results, it's best to use the products after a Mirage session - not while using it. Users can use a peptide serum after red light therapy, vitamin C serum after yellow light therapy or a soothing serum after blue light therapy. One may apply other skin products as well that help with skin healing and collagen synthesis, such as retinol, after using the mask in either the manual or auto mode.
Does the Mirage incorporate Near Infrared (NIR)?
The Mirage only incorporates blue, yellow and red light, with the red light coming the closest to near infrared light. Given that near infrared edges on the fat layer, and given the power of the Mirage's LEDs, in order to not melt facial fat, the Mirage does not incorporate/feature near infrared. The NIR region of the infrared spectrum is the wavelength range of 780–2526 nm, while the Mirage stands at 630nm ± 3nm.
What are the benefits of the Mirage?
At EvenSkyn we value the quality of our products and build them to the highest standards. With 204 powerful LEDs manufactured, the Mirage was engineered and designed to reverse signs of aging with Red Light Therapy targeting spots such as fine lines and wrinkles.
Also incorporated in the Mirage, we've also included Blue Light Therapy for acne treatment mode. Last but not least, the Yellow Light Therapy aides in Photo Rejuvenation mode assisting with skin dullness, brightening of the skin, improving overall skin texture and improving blood circulation.
In addition to these benefits, the Yellow Light Therapy helps with skin conditions such as Rosacea, promotes wound healing, treats skin redness, and has shown to be anti-inflammatory.

What is the Mirage?
Our Premium Light-Therapy Face Mask is a full-face LED mask, meaning it covers the nose as well. Kindly find attached an image of the mask that shows the led lights located all over the mask, including the nose area.
In addition, please note that the Mirage is a professional-grade light therapy skin rejuvenation LED face mask comprising an industry-leading 204 individual units of the most powerful Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) ever manufactured for an at-home portable LED face mask.
Also, in our internal benchmarking with all the leading masks, each of our LEDs has been shown to be at least 4x the power of LEDs from some of the leading competing brands.
Is the Mirage FDA Approved?
When it comes to the FDA, approval for LED masks is no longer required as of 2022. So the registration page has been taken down so although it is still labelled and we did have a previous registration led light has been considered completely noninvasive and so there is no longer a requirement so no renewal's are either being granted or being offered.
